Randy Best struggled with severe dyslexia in his youth. Despite this handicap, he focused and advanced through school by working harder. His mother (a high school teacher) tutored him, reading material to him, and he concentrated on memorizing and understanding this material.

Randy Best founded Best Associates, a privately owned merchant banking firm with headquarters in Dallas, Texas. The Company has related activities throughout the United States and around the globe. They provide capital to growth-oriented businesses, initiate start-ups, and make acquisitions in targeted industry segments.

Randy Best and Nancy Best’s focus is on giving to local ministries, education, and community arts in the Dallas, TX region. An example of philanthropic endeavors by Randy and Nancy Best is the Woodall Rogers Park Foundation. This is a project financed by public and private donations to build a 5.2-acre park over the Woodall Rogers Freeway in Dallas.
